The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria yesterday matriculated about 13,000 students for the 2018/2019 academic session out of the more than 40,000 that applied for admission.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Ibrahim Garba, made this known while advising the new students to uphold the rules and regulations of the institution.
He told the new students to consider themselves lucky to have gained admission to the university because of the number of students that applied.
The Vice Chancellor advised them to shun examination malpractices, cultism, drug abuse, indecent dressing and all forms of anti-social behaviour.
