The Atyap Chiefdom of Zangon Kataf in Kaduna State will today kick off the ceremony for the installation of a new traditional ruler for the chiefdom with a seminar.
The Agwatyap, Mr. Dominic Gambo Yahaya succeeds the late Agwatyap, Dr. Yusuf Harrison Bungwon who died seven months ago.
A statement signed by the coordinator of the event, Mr. Steve Bawa, indicated that prominent sons and daughters of the chiefdom would attend the seminar.
“Atyap land is witnessing a large influx of our people who are resident outside home; some coming from abroad to celebrate the installation of the new Agwatyap,” the statement said.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai is expected to give the staff of office to the new Agwatyap at the conclusion of the ceremonies.
