Zamfara State House of Assembly, on Monday, resumed legislative activities at the Government Special Primary School (GSPS) in Gusau, the state capital.
The lawmakers had relocated from the assembly complex to the school in March last year following renovation work at the legislative building.

Upon resumption, yesterday, the House standing committees commenced their various engagements, even though there was no plenary.
Welcoming his colleagues from recess, the speaker, Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, urged them to be more proactive, diligent and purposeful in the discharge of their legislative responsibilities.
On the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the speaker urged his colleagues, management and staff of the assembly to strictly abide by all the safety protocols and guidelines against the coronavirus.
It could be recalled that the House went on recess on December 11 last year after deliberations on this year’s budget.
