A traditional titleholder in Gusau, Abdulmalik Garba Gajam has expressed displeasure over the alleged attack on his supporters and destruction of his campaign materials in the state.

The Lamido Sabon Gari on Friday said he is disturbed by the reported cases of harassment of young men and women urging him to run for the governorship position of the state in 2023.

“I have been inundated with calls that some government agencies are busy destroying some of the billboards put up by my supporters. Some of my supporters were also harrassed. It is wrong to use public institutions to harass innocent and law-abiding citizens,” he said.

The chairman of Habigamo Solutions International Limited, said he is committed to restoring the lost glory of Zamfara by liberating the state from the policy of stagnancy, retrogression and other evils.

“I will be the youngest governorship aspirant in Zamfara by 2023 but I am not deterred by the intimidation and harassment. I have the mandate of the people who believe in my leadership style as they have seen what I have done in the private sector and philanthropic acts,” he said.

The President of the Youths Liaison Motivity (YLM), who congratulated Muslim faithful on the celebration of the eid-kabir, urged them to continue to live in unity and imbibe the spirit of love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
