The Leader of the Isliamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Shiekh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky is not dead, a member of the movement, Abdullahi Usman has confirmed.
Daily Trust reports that there have been rumours flying round claiming the leader of the IMN group otherwise known as Shi’ites was dead.

But Usman in a telephone conversation with Daily Trust confirmed that Zakzaky is alive.
“I do not know where people heard such rumours from, but I can confirm to you that our leader is alive. It will not be in the best interest of the government for our leader to die in their custody,” he added.
Daily Trust reports that the news of Zakzaky’s death caused tension in Kaduna as residents were said to have restricted their movement for fear of attack.
