Yuletide: Police to reintroduce ‘stop and search’ in Kwara

The Kwara State Police Command has expressed its readiness to ensure peaceful Christmas celebrations throughout the length and breadth of the state.

To this end, the command says it has imposed some security measures, “which include massive deployments of men and materials in and around public utilities and all government’s assets,” its spokesman, Ajayi Okasanmi, said.

According to him, the measures also include “aggressive motorized and foot patrols, stop and search operations, and continuous raids on black spots.”
