The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command, said it has deployed 2000 personnel to secure lives and property during the yuletide.
The state’s commandant Mr. Vincent Ogu, disclosed this while speaking on the preparedness of the agency ahead of the celebration.
Ogu assured Abia residents of adequate security of lives and property before, during and after the Christmas and New Year Celebrations.

He charged the personnel to increase surveillance and intelligence gathering in their respective locations to prevent criminal elements from unleashing mayhem on law-abiding citizens.
