Yuletide: MTN Nigeria flags off 2018 Season of Surprises

There was celebration in Lagos ahead of Christmas as residents of Ikoyi were treated to gifts and surprises as MTN Nigeria flagged off the fourth edition of its Season of Surprises.

The unveiling of the season was done by the Chairman of the Board of MTN Nigeria, Dr. Pascal Dozie and the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Ferdi Moolman, among others at the Giwa Barracks in Ikoyi, Lagos.

In his remarks, Dr. Dozie described the Season of Surprises as an avenue to remind Nigerians that the celebratory atmosphere of Christmas should be harnessed to extend the spirit of giving and joy to their fellow Nigerians.

This, he said, was the telecom company’s way of appreciating the millions of Nigerians who continue to use the company’s services; restating MTN Nigeria’s commitment to delivering the best services in order to ensure that everyone can stay connected to their loved ones and kick start the act of extending a helping hand to one another.

“It is a time of giving to everybody irrespective of the network they subscribe to,” he said.

The surprises include packaged food items and provisions which were distributed to the residents in addition to a grand raffle draw that saw residents go home with generators, mobile devices and other prizes.

The initiative which has just been flagged off is expected to last for two weeks just as it is being extended to other parts of Lagos and other states of the country.

Speaking earlier at the event, the Human Resources Executive, MTN Nigeria, Mrs. Esther Akinnukawe, said the mission of the company was to brighten the life of customers and communities.

“We are starting from here; we will move to other parts of Lagos and other states of the country as we target to touch 318,000 lives nationwide in the next two weeks.
