The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Abuja Chapter, has urged motorists to shun over-speeding and other forms of recklessness as they travel and engage in other forms of celebrations in the Christmas and seasonal celebrations.
The chairman of the CIIN Abuja Chapter, Alhaji Abbas Owolabi, gave the advice at the 2023 Christmas Carol, with the theme: ‘Spirit of Christmas’ on Sunday in Abuja.
He noted that despite being a Muslim, he has to organize the event as a leader of everybody and to show love, and care for each other as they pursue a common front for national growth.
“Nigerians cannot do whatever they like in a season like this, this is the time to even be more careful. When you are traveling, you drive carefully, when you are celebrating, you celebrate carefully. You don’t say you are celebrating and you drink to a stupor or when you are driving, you drive recklessly,” Owolabi said.
