Yuletide: Group fetes indigent nursing mothers, orphans in Edo

A Non-Governmental Organization, Family Care Advocacy Foundation (FACAF) has distributed free food items and medical consumables to nursing mothers and orphanages in Edo Edo state. 

Presenting the items, Director of FACAF, Pastor David Uwoghiren, who led other members on a visit to Project Charilove and Edo Orphanage Homes as well as Benin Central Hospital, said the gesture was to assist the less privileged to celebrate the yuletide with ease. 

He said the foundation is a family strengthening non-profit initiative with focus on married couples, teens and youths.

He added that donating  food items to indigent citizens was borne out of the desire to show love to those often ignored during the celebration. 

The Care givers at Project Charilove and Edo Orphanage Home, who received the items, including noodles, bags of rice, detergents, other food stuffs and groceries, commended the foundation for the show of love to the children during Christmas celebration. 

On his part, Founder of Project Charilove,Mr. Chris Omusi represented by Ayotunde Emmanuel commended the group for identifying with the special children. 

He said they were always happy when people come identified with the children because  most of the  special children in the home do not have parents to shower them with gifts during the festive season.”
