Yuletide: FRSC, VIO, NEMA move to prevent road crashes

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO) and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) met in Abuja weekend on how to prevent disasters during the yuletide season.

Head of Operations, NEMA, FCT, Bitrus Samuel, urged motorists to ensure their vehicles were in good condition before embarking on any journey.

Head of Rescue Unit, VIO, FCT, Dominic Ajim, said: “What are the routine check-ups we meant here? Vehicles must be serviced, tyres must be checked to ensure they’re not worn out or expired and the braking system and the lighting system must be okay.”
