You’ve a lot to offer Nigeria, IBB tells Mark

Former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babaginda played host to a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant, Senator David Mark at his Hill top mansion in Minna, Niger state.

According to a statement by the Media Assistant to David Mark, Mr Paul Mumeh said although the meeting was said to be held behind closed doors,  the former Senate President had briefed Babangida on why he want to contest for the office of the president in 2019.

The statement said Babangida had praised Senator Mark for his steadfastness in the service of the nation over the years without blemish, adding that “with your experience over the years , you have a lot to offer the nation”.

The statement also quoted the Director General of Mark campaign organization Senator Kure as saying the meeting between the two was fruitful pointing out that Babangida showered encomium on Mark who is eminently equipped to be president of Nigeria.

According to  the statement, Kure said Mark was the candidate to beat with his experiences in the military and civilian life spanning many years.

“We are bringing a man who is experienced and prepared to restore the pride and dignity of the giant of Africa. Nigerians would see the positive difference if Senator Mark is elected President in 2019”, the statement quoted Kure as saying.

The statement said Senator Mark was accompanied by his campaign Director General, Senator Zainab Kure, Senators Tunde Ogbeha and Suleiman Adokwe.
