The Coalition of Concerned Civil Society Organisations of Nigeria (CCCSON) has rejected calls by the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) to slash the one per cent grant due for the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) to 0.2 per cent.
The youths said doing so would further put the country into economic crises, noting that the agency in recent times had helped greatly in developing local capacities and capabilities which in return had taken the country from a consumer-based economy to knowledge-based innovative and manufacturing economy with significant and visible benefits.
