Youths of Daudu community in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, at the weekend, staged a protest over alleged missing genitals of certain villagers among them.
Daily Trust reports that on October 11, this year, a young man in Daudu community had committed suicide over accusations that he allegedly stole another’s manhood.

And last weekend, it was learnt that youths of the community poured onto the main road to express their grievances over the alleged disappearance of six persons’ genitals in their locality.
The protest led to a traffic gridlock on the busy Makurdi-Lafia highway for a few hours until the police arrived to disperse the protesters.
The acting traditional ruler of the community, Chief Chado Oliver (acting Tyoor of Daudu), in a telephone interview said some youths earlier on Saturday morning protested round the town over claims that some of them had their genitals stolen in mysterious ways.
The chief added that when they presented the matter to him, he told them to bring a victim so he could verify their claim but they couldn’t bring anyone.
Oliver further explained that he went to meet another monarch to discuss the matter only for him to be called back that his youths were protesting so he immediately returned and met the Divisional Police Officer in Daudu, and they both went round to appeal to them for calm which had been restored.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Benue Command, DSP Catherine Anene, said she was not aware of any genital disappearance.
It would be recalled that in November last year, women of Agasha community in same Guma LGA had poured onto their streets as well as the Makurdi-Gboko highway to protest alleged missing genitals of both sexes, but no case was verified.
