Young people have been urged to develop digital technology strategies that can help Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to drive sustainability for their businesses during the post COVID – 19 pandemic era.
Ismail Bello, the Creative Director of YES-Hub in Katsina, stated this while speaking at the TEDxModojiRoad recently.
Bello, who spoke on ‘Innovative employment drive through scalable entrepreneurship’, said: “Digital innovation will create massive opportunities for Africa’s economy to be more competitive if there are more investments in digital technology start-up companies by venture capital and private equity firms.”
He also said it will promote long term investment support for starting, growing, and scaling start-up businesses and companies to scale in this new post-COVID era.
“With this, we will require more promotion of access to technology tools, innovative apps, effective techniques, digital skill training, and funding opportunities that will help Africa launch start-up businesses that will solely rely on technology as a medium for its propagation of its solution delivery,” Bello emphasized.
