A cross section of youths in Taraba State have commended the North East Development Commission (NEDC) for training 331 of them in various skills.
A beneficiary of the training, Adamu Musa told North East Trust that hundreds of youths across the six states in the North East have benefited from training and empowerment programmes offered by the commission.

He said that the skills they acquired would enable them to be self-employed and employ others.
Another beneficiary, Elizabeth Anthony said the commission has touched the lives of many youths including women.
Elizabeth, further stated that many youths were removed from the streets and are now self-reliant
She commended the commission for providing incentives which included working tools and capital.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of the Commission, Alhaji Muhammed Alkali said, ICT and other vocational training programmes offered by the commission were aimed at improving access to information technology among the youths.
