Youths attack herdsmen in Enugu

There is fear in Aku Community of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State following a reported  attack by youths on a Fulani  settlement with some sustaining gunshot wounds while three were declared missing.

The spokesman of the police in the state, SP Ebere Amaraizu who confirmed the incident however said no arrest had been made yet.

The incident occurred yesterday few days after the state governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, inaugurated a security committee with Brigadier-General Fred Eze (rtd) as chairman.

Brigadier-General Eze (rtd) also confirmed the incident and called for calm adding that the committee was on top of the situation.
