A 40-year-old man and father of two, identified as Rapheal Ebezpeke, has reportedly hanged himself at Polaku community in Bayelsa State.
The late Ebezpeke was the youth President of Polaku Community, Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state.
It was learnt that his lifeless body was found by some youths dangling on a tree inside a bush in the neighbourhood last Monday.
He was said to be battling mental related issues before the sad incident that threw the community into mourning occurred.
The deceased, according sources in the community, allegedly killed himself after several attempts.

“Raphael usually talked about unseen forces trailing his life and trying to kill him. There was a time in January when he also ran out of the house to the same bush, but later he came back to the house. His sisters said he ran out of the house screaming, ‘they want to kill me, they want to kill me’.
“By the time w traced him to the bush, we saw him hanging on the tree.
A youth leader in Gbarain community, who confirmed the death, said “Quiet unfortunate that we lost Raphael. I know he had some mental issues, so I used to personally counsel him and introduced him to some healthy lifestyle. Whenever we saw him with some persons associated with hard drugs, we also cautioned him to dissociate with such persons.”
When contacted, the police Spokesman in Bayelsa state, ASP Musa Muhammed, told Daily Trust that he would find out and reverted, but was yet to do so as of the time of filing the report.
