At least, 74 women have been trained on small scale businesses by Yarima Youth Movement (YYM) in Kibiya Local Government Area of Kano State.
According to the movement, 100 forms of the entrepreneurial school were shared among women and 74 of them who filled and returned the forms, were trained on different skills.
The women received training on various entrepreneurial businesses such as bag, earring, sewing, and many other trades.
During the graduation ceremony of the students at Kibiya town, the leader of the movement, Abubakar Sadik UK Umar said they embarked on the training to support youth to become independent.
Also speaking, Alh Umar Usman Kibiya, Sarkin Yakin Kibiya, said the time for the youth to wait for government employment had passed, adding that they should be self-reliant and try to employ others.
At the end of the event, a foundation, Binta Ahmadu Foundation, shared foodstuff to five wards of the town as a palliative to flood victims in the area.
