Students from Yobe state has emerge as champions to represent North East geo-political zone at the 2016 Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Annual National Quiz Competition.
The students defeated their counterpart from Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe and Taraba states, in the quiz competition which covers five subjects of Biology, chemistry, English Language, Mathematics and Physics.
Yobe scored 45 points to claim the first position, Bauchi and Gombe shared second position with 40 points each, while Adamawa and Taraba scored 25 and 20 points respectively to clinch the fourth and fifth positions.
Meanwhile, students from Borno state failed to make it to Gombe, the host state of the zonal quiz.
