Dr Mohammad Idris, Yobe Commissioner for Basic Education, on Tuesday said the state would soon establish five additional girls secondary schools.
Idris, who stated this in Damaturu when three women’s groups paid him a courtesy visit, said the schools would enhance access to girl-child education.

The groups are the Sexual and Gender-based Violence (SGBV), the Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) and the Women’s Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (WOWICAN).
