Yobe spends N728m on health, airport

Yobe State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Gaidam has approved N728.4 million for the execution of various projects on health, road infrastructures and the  consultancy services at Cargo international Airport Damaturu.

Speaking shortly after the State Executive Council meeting chaired by the Governor, the state Commissioner of Information, Mala Musti, said  that N250,000,000 was approved for consultancy service to ensure that equipment installations met requirements of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and International Civil Aviation organization (ICAO).

He said to provide effective medical services to the doorstep of the common man, the council had also approved N79,072,700 and N247,252,186  for the procurement and installation of two 250KVA generator sets for steady electricity supply and laboratory equipment for effective service delivery in the Medical Sciences College of Yobe state University, Damaturu.

Musti also revealed that the council had approved N155,021, 082  for  construction of 1.1km road, N2.2m drainage at Baba shade Borehole in Nasarawa ward, Damaturu.
