The newly appointed caretaker committee chairman, Karasuwa Local Government Council, Hon Lawan Gana Karasuwa, is dead.
Karasuwa’s death was announced by Mamman Muhammad, Director General Press and Media Affairs to Yobe State Governor, at the flag-off of an empowerment organised by the state Commissioner of Ministry of Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Employment Generation.
He said Gana died at the Federal Medical Centre, Nguru after brief illness.
Daily Trust learnt that Gana served as caretaker chairman of Karasuwa LGA for six months before the committee was dissolved by Governor Mai Mala Buni.

He was then reappointed as the caretaker committee chairman of Karasuwa LG.
He was among the 17 chairmen local government caretaker management committee to be sworn-in on Friday.
