The Yobe State government has warned against using unapproved textbooks in the school system, saying all textbooks and instructional materials used to deliver the curriculum contents must conform to the norms and values of the people.
The state government, in a statement by the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Mohd Sani Idriss, said the warning became necessary due to the content of some books used in teaching pupils in some schools in Nigeria.
