The management of Yobe Desert Stars Football Club has given it’s technical crew three-match ultimatum to turn the fortune of the club or risk being sacked.
The managing Director of the Club, Habu Abdulrahman Ago stated this at a press briefing, on Thursday in Damaturu.
“The technical crew have three-match ultimatum to prove themselves, if not, we will fire them. So, it’s a task before them to utilize the three matches to defend their jobs,” he said.
He explained that the team had played seven matches, losing three, “won three and one draw”, the result, he termed, unimpressive.
“No player in Yobe Desert will complain of outstanding payment of salary or debt, their salaries and match bonuses are flowing, unlike in some clubs where they have 2 to 3 months outstanding salaries but they are still performing.
“They have to use any magic they could, to save their jobs because that is the nature of the job. We hire and fire,” he said.
