Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has congratulated people of the state on the 31st anniversary of the state’s creation.

Buni, in a statement issued yesterday by the DG, Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, commended previous leaders and the people of the state for their individual and collective contributions towards placing the state on the path of peace and development.

“I specially commend you all for your resilience, support and cooperation in building our dear state.

“Your strong resilience has spurred this administration towards speedy building and recovery of the state after the decade-long Boko Haram insurgency”, he said.

Governor Buni thanked Almighty Allah for the peace now enjoyed across the state, urging the people to continue praying for improved peace and security in the state.

The governor said the support extended to his administration enabled the government to rebuild schools, establish more health facilities, housing, road construction and completion of the cargo airport among others.

He assured that his administration will continue to execute people-oriented projects and programmes to improve the lives of the people.
