Yerima’s fitting, timely declaration

This is to express relief that at last the north has got political respite with the recent declaration of former Governor of Zamfara State, Sen. Sani Yerima, who recently declared his ambition to vie for the presidency ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Now that Northern Nigeria is devoid of genuine politicians that people can look up to, it is only fitting that Yerima takes a shot at the highest office in the land, for he is a selfless, courageous politician who loves Nigeria with a passion.

His footprints were laid years back as Zamfara Governor where his unquenchable patriotic desire and commitment to solve many of our challenges was unrivalled despite attempt to cast him as a religious bigot.

Sani Yerima should be embraced by not only the north but by all Nigerians for he is a sincere and honest politician who desires the promotion of peace, progress and unity of Nigeria and because he is a detribalised patriot devoid of religious bias.

Here is a man who places the nation above self in all his dealings, a courageous and conscientious politician who has no stain in his record.
