The immediate past governor of Zamfara state, Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari has called for unity and tolerance among members of the APC family in Zamfara and the nation as well.
Yari had on Tuesday spitted fire as he rejected the interim committee appointed by Governor Mai Buni, chairman of the national caretaker committee of the party, to steer the affairs of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

In an interview with the BBC, he said the dissolution of the party leadership in Zamfara was ill-thought, adding that Buni has no power to dissolve the leadership under his control, and that the action could trigger another crisis in the party.
Yari, who threatened legal action, said the interim committee was appointed in violation of the party’s constitution.
But in his Sallah message Yari stated that without unity, peace, understanding, and tolerance, no family, community and association could make tangible progress and therefore called on all APC members nationwide to strive towards making the party the toast of every Nigerian.
He issued the message in Sokoto through Musa Gusau, Secretary of Concerned Citizens of Zamfara state.
“On this occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, I extend my warmest greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters in the APC, Nigeria and around the world. We give utmost gratitude to Almighty Allah (SWT) for His countless blessings. Prophet Ibrahim demonstrated his submission to Almighty Allah as exemplified by his readiness to sacrifice his only son. This is the reason why we celebrate Eid and to mark it faithfully, we must exhibit the same spirit of submission to the will of Allah “, Yari said.
While advising members to work “as team members of a great family” towards its victory in any election,” Yari said: “ Let us also remember President Muhammadu Buhari, our APC governors and other APC leaders in our prayers so that they can continue to confront and surmount the challenges facing our party and this country so that together we can enjoy the benefits of a better Nigeria and move to the promised land.”
