Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Gusau after submitting his governorship nomination form, Yari said his ambition to return as governor is not worth the blood of anybody.
He therefore advised youths in the state not to allow themselves to be used by any one as political thugs and agents of destruction.
“Whoever tries to lure you as youth into thuggery or any other blood spilling related activity tell that person to bring his son, daughter or brother at the fore front first and you will understand that he will never do that as person,” he advised.
He said some self-centred politicians are hell-bent on destroying the promising future of the youth, instead of engaging them in useful activities and assisting them in gaining employment.
Yari also accused the federal government of not doing anything to tackle the insurgency ravaging some parts of the North, adding that the government at the centre is lacking the political will to halt the menace.
“We have never seen a situation whereby a group of handful arms wielding youths is defeating a well organised and well standing conventional army. This is the most unfortunate thing to happen to this country,” he added.
