A business mogul, Alhaji Abdullahi Shuaib Yaman, has emerged as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State.
Yaman scored 518 votes to beat Hon. Ahman Patigi and Prof. Yisa Gana, who polled 31 and 14 votes respectively in the primary conducted on Wednesday.
Yaman was the former campaign director of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in Kwara North during the 2015 election.
He, however, dumped the APC for the PDP in March, 2022 to contest the opposition party’s governorship ticket.
An indigene of Shonga in Edu LGA, Yaman also contested Kwara governorship in 2003, and in 2011, he ran for Kwara North senatorial election on the platform of the ACPN.
