WRR calls for entries

Words Rhyme and Rhythm (WRR) has called for entries for its June edition of the Brigitte Poirson Poetry Contest (BPPC). 

This month’s competition is themed ‘Fighting Personal Demons’. Judges would focus on originality, word economy, adherence to theme, creativity in language and style as well as use of literary devices in the poems.
 
Winner of the May edition of the BPPC, themed ‘The Country of My Dream’ was Ghanaian poet Alhassan Rabiu, for his piece, ‘Conversations with my Pillows’. Wayne Adewale Samuel came second with ‘I Am at the End of Words’ and Gideon Sampson Cecil for ‘Country of My Dream’.  
 
Deadline for this month’s edition is June 29.
