The 28-year-old photographer in Yobe State, Mr Saidu Abdulrahman, has shot 897 pictures of his target in one hour.
The competition was an attempt to break the World Guinness Record for the most head shot photographs taken in one hour.
Saidu Abdurahman has moved to make a historic effort by snapping 897 targets as the existing world record is 500.
The event was held on Thursday at Government Day Secondary School, Potiskum, Yobe State, where students and well-wishers were captured in 60 minutes.

Speaking to the newsmen, the competitor said, “So far now, I have snapped 897 pictures in one hour which have even surpassed the 600 we were targeting.
“I spent 12 months gearing up for this historic effort to break the World Guinness Record.
“I underwent so many challenges, but despite that I didn’t give up because of persistence.
“I’m optimistic that the World Guinness Record will recognise my performance by issuing a certificate of recognition to me as a winner,” he said.
Yahuza Rabiu Garba, the director of the project, said they have decided to partake in the competition so as to attract the attention of people to understand the importance of photography.
“We initiated this in order to encourage him as a person who is inspiring to be an international photographer and also to make other youths to who had passionate and zeal in the photography to be motivated,” he said.
The event was recognised by the state government officials, students and well-wishers.
