Fans of Nigerian music star, Davido, have aired their excitement as they witnessed the multiple award-winning singer thrill audience at the closing ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup which was held in Qatar. The frenzy by the singer’s lovers is due to the fact this is the first time Davido would perform on a stage for a large audience since the death of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, who drowned in a pool at Davido’s residence.

The singer alongside his counterparts, Trinidad Cardona and Aisha performed the song, “Hayya Hayya (Better Together).

Ever since the demise of the pop star’s son on October 31, he went AWOL on all social media platforms, however, before his performance at the closing ceremony of the World Cup, the singer was seen in a video where he simply said, “Tell the world we are back.”
