Women and youths on Friday took to the streets to protest the sack of Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Adamawa State.

The women and youths, who protested in various local government areas in the state, threatened to boycott the 2023 election if the female candidate was denied the ticket in the long run.

The coordinator, Women in Politics, Comfort Ezra, who spoke on behalf of the protesters, called on women across Nigeria to stand firm with Binani until she reclaims her mandate.

In the same vein, the Electoral Hub has said that the nullification of the APC primary in Adamawa State, which produced Senator Binani as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2023 general election, was a threat to the success of the elections.

The Director, The Electoral Hub, Princess Hamman-Obels, in a statement in Abuja on Friday, expressed outrage over the ruling and appealed for justice in the matter.
