The Nigerian Women Trade Exhibition (NAWTE 2022) has said that it is targeting 10m women in the 36 states and the FCT for capacity building that will enhance their investments and other forms of business.
The National Coordinator, NAWTE, Hajiya Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi, said this Saturday in Abuja at a news conference in preparation for the NAWTE 2022 that would hold at the International Conference Centre (ICC) Abuja from March 21 to 23.
She said the theme, “Empowering Nigerian Women Enterprises for Economic Sustainability and Self-reliance”, was chosen due to the ever-changing global dynamic and the quest to make Nigerian women utilise the various opportunities to better their lots.
Abdullahi said the programme was being organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry Trade and Investment; the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs; SMEDAN, NDE, NEPC, CBN and FIIRO.
She added that it would educate the women for improvement and advancement in skills acquisition with a view to ensuring better productivity and to give greater publicity to successful Nigerian policies and programmes with a view to raising their profiles.
