The call was part of the 13-point communiqué issued at the need of its three-day workshop on effective strategies of preaching held in Maiduguri.
The communiqué observed that no meaningful development would be achieved when followers of the two faiths engaged in conflict.
The group noted that traditional and religious leaders should mobilize their followers on the importance of peaceful co-existence which is the bedrock of nation building.
While appealing to the government at all levels to equip schools with teaching and learning materials so as to strengthen education sector, the communiqué also canvassed for free education to girl-child.
