Women group takes voters’ education to Abuja villages

The group, Nigerian Women for Buhari-Osinbajo, said this today when its members visited some villages in Abuja to educate the residents on the voting processes in readiness for the forthcoming general elections.

According to the group’s convener, Asmau Gogo Sani, “we are here this morning to educate people on how to vote and solicit public support for our leader, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) and his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.”

She said, “our goal is to promote democracy and our presidential candidates, the men we feel are capable to run this country well and to educate people about them.”

“The APC is very prepared for the elections. You can see that the ruling party is now behaving like the opposition. We are hoping the rescheduled dates for the elections would be kept. We shouldn’t waste this democracy; this democracy was given to us by the military and as civilians, we should protect it,” she added.

She further said that Nigerians deserve a credible leader that can rule this country well; “a leader that can give us good system or platform to operate from. We are fully prepared for change, to vote PDP out.”

Some of the villages visited by the group include Karamajiji, Gosa, Aletta, among others, along the Lugbe-Airport Road.
