A yet-to-be identified female corpse has been found under Dei-Dei bridge, along the Zuba-Kubwa road in Abuja.
A witness, Sama’ila Musa, said the corpse was found around 6am with injuries on the head and hands, suggesting that the woman might have been knocked down by a vehicle at the bridge.
He said the woman’s corpse attracted the attention of some passersby, including some security men at Dei Dei junction.
Ismaila said environmental officials, in company of some security operatives and vigilantes, later arrived at the scene to evacuate the corpse.

He disclosed that a similar incident happened two weeks ago, when the body of a commercial cyclist was found around the pedestrian bridge in the area, adding that the deceased might have been killed by hoodlums who escaped with his bike.
The spokeswoman of the FCT police command, Josephine Adeh, could not be immediately reached for comment on the incident.
