A magistrates’ court sitting in the Eti-Osa area of Lagos State has ordered the remand in prison of a 26-year-old woman, Jennifer Omorogbe, for allegedly assaulting a female police officer, SP Comfort Oraghan, in the Ajah area of Lagos on February 21, 2024.

Jennifer was arraigned after a viral video in which she was seen engaging the police officer in a heated argument after which she pushed her down.

The police officer who was on traffic duty attempted to impound Jennifer’s car for allegedly violating a traffic law.

She was arraigned on a three-count charge bordering on assault and injury.

Lagos State police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arraignment and remand of the defendant.
