Woman nabbed for allegedly stealing 1-month-old baby

The police in Lagos State have arrested a 21-year-old woman, simply identified as Blessing, for allegedly stealing a one-month-old baby boy.

The command’s spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the arrest on Wednesday, said that the mother of the baby reported at the Elere Police Division on Monday that at about 7am on Saturday while she was sleeping at home with her baby, the suspect allegedly stole her child.

He further said that the suspect later went to a church to give testimony of giving birth. Hundeyin said the suspect was traced to the Agbotikuyo area in Agege where the baby was recovered from her. (NAN)
