…Woman escapes death

A woman yesterday escaped lynching from an angry mob of youth in Kutunku II polling unit of Gwagwalada Area Council after allegedly promising to give money if they would vote a particular political party.
“She promised to give us money. But we want her to give us before we vote because she would run away if we voted now,” one of the irate youths told Daily Trust.
He said, “As you see now, if she doesn’t pay us, I will not vote. My vote is for sale,”he said.
No security personnel were available to rescue the woman, who was saved by some of her colleagues after begging.
