She was alleged to have stoned the deceased following a fight that erupted between them at Darmanawa of Kumbotso LGA of Kano State.

At the resumed hearing, her lawyer prayed the court to grant her bail to get better medical attention.

The judge declined the request as the counsel to the state government was not at the sitting.

He ordered that the defendant should remain in prison until August 24 for the court to review the request.

The court also ordered that the husband of the deceased should attend the next court hearing.
