Woman charged with locking out neighbour’s kids

A 40-year-old trader, Stella Iruoju, was on Monday arraigned in a Karu area court, Abuja, for allegedly locking out her neighbour’s children from their room.

The defendant, who resides in Jikwoyi, Phase III, Abuja, was charged with wrongful restraint, an offence she denied committing.

The prosecutor, Mr Olarewaju Osho, told the court that the complainant, of the same address as the defendant, reported the matter at the Jikwoyi Police Station on February 18.

The Judge, Malam Ishaq Hassan, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N50,000 and one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to March 24. (NAN).
