A woman standing trial before a Kano Federal High Court sitting in Gyadi Gyadi for allegedly defrauding her clients of N189.9 million under the pretext of helping them secure jobs abroad has been re-arraigned.
The suspect, Hajiya Rabi Lawan, through her representatives, Aisha Ibrahim and Sharu Abdulkadir, allegedly collected N144.9 million from several youths wanting to leave the country for greener pastures, while another woman alleged that she gave her N36 million to secure jobs for 200 youth overseas.

During the court’s last sitting, her counsel, Barr A. U. Usman, had applied for bail by presenting hospital documents to prove his client was unwell, but the presiding judge, Justice Simon Amobeda, rejected the application.
At the continuation of the case, Justice Amobeda, in an interlocutory injunction, granted the application and admitted her to N20 million bail with one blood-related surety, who owns a landed property with certificate of occupancy.
