Wole Soyinka loses 90-year-old sister

The funeral for late Tinuola Aina, the 90-year-old sister of Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, will begin in Lagos on Thursday with a service of song.

Aina died on November 7, 2023, according to a statement by her family.

The statement added that she would be given a private interment in Lagos on Friday.

She was born on April 29, 1933, at Ake Vicarage in Abeokuta, the first of seven children of trader-homemaker Mrs. Grace Eniola Soyinka (neé Harrison) and school teacher Mr. Samuel Ayodele Soyinka.
