Chief Munir Balogun, the father of popular afrobeat star, Ayo Balogun, aka Wizkid, has broken his silence over the online rift between his son and David Adeleke popularly known as Davido.
The two billionaire musical megastars and their huge fan base had engaged in public spat on social media lately over superiority and status which attracted global attention.
But speaking on the issue during an interview with PUNCH, Wizkid’s father said he had followed the banter and all the tweets and online comments on the issue.
He said he has advised his son on the matter.

According to him, “I’ve read about it. I saw it on Facebook or Instagram and I read what everybody was saying.
“I have done that and I told my son that he shouldn’t look or listen to whatever the boys who are supporters of Davido are saying.
“The supporters are only looking for what they will say to collect money and all of that. They are just looking for what they are going to eat and I told him not to pay much attention to them.
“I’ve told my son to take things easy with them and overlook whatever they say because I don’t blame them”, he submitted.
