Police in Adamawa State have arrested 10 persons, including three police officers and vigilantes over the killing of two women accused of witchcraft.
In a viral video, the women were seen stripped naked and tortured to death over allegation of being witches.
The incident occurred in Roma community, Song Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The arrested police officers and vigilantes were caught in the video assaulting the women.

The incident sparked outrage and condemnation from human rights groups and members of the public.
In response to the incident, the Commissioner of Police (CP), Afolabi Babatola, expressed shock and disappointment over the unprofessional conduct displayed by the police officers and vigilantes.
He immediately deployed the deputy commissioner of police to arrest those responsible for the assault.
“The CP has assured that any act of indiscipline and lawlessness will not be tolerated under his watch as those found guilty of this heinous crime against humanity will surely be brought to book,” said SP Suleiman Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer.
He promised a thorough investigation into the incident to ensure that that justice is served.
