The participating schools each made a presentation before a three-man panel.

The event organised by the embassy’s Public Diplomacy Section requested each school to perform using their creative skills through spoken words, a short playlet, poem presentation, singing or a rap.

At the end of the presentation, pupils of Cradle2Harvard International School were announced as the winners.

The school’s performance through spoken words, from their six-man cast, thrilled the judges, audience and other diplomats at the event.

The captain of the Cradle2Harvard Poetry Club, Ellone Ijeoma Afor, said that the school’s performance at the competition was a testimony to the pupils’ relentless drive to sustaining the vision of the founders as well as the diligence of their coach, Ms. Tamara Dogubo.

Afor said that with their performance, ‘Martin Luther King resurrected at the American Embassy’.
