Windstorm has destroyed more than 40 houses at the staff quarters of the University of Jos following a heavy downpour on Wednesday in Jos, Plateau State.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Tanko Ishaya, disclosed this to newsmen on Tuesday.
He said, ‘’Yesterday’s heavy downpour destroyed some houses in our staff quarters at Bauchi Road.
‘’The destruction is massive and I’m wondering how the university will get funds to fix the damaged houses.

”So, we are calling on the ever-supportive Plateau government to come to our aid to enable us to fix the destroyed houses as soon as possible.” The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Wednesday’s downpour flooded some parts of the city. (NAN)
