Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) has disclosed plans to mentor 2,000 girls across six locations including: Abuja, Bonny, Ibadan, Lagos, Port-Harcourt and Uyo State under its Big Sister Program.
WIMBIZ’s Big Sister Programme empowers girls in public secondary schools with skills to boost their confidence and build their leadership capacity; thereby preparing them for post-secondary education.

Beneficiaries are mentored by accomplished female professionals in various fields who have a commitment to the development of the girl child.
The Chairperson, Executive Council, WIMBIZ, Ngover Thyembe-Nwankwo while addressing newsmen in Lagos yesterday ahead of the 2021 WIMBIZ annual conference scheduled to hold from November 4th -5th, 2021 explained that this year’s conference is packed with thought-provoking topics, inspirational speakers as well as offers opportunities to network.
Founder of Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, Atedo Peterside; former Prime Minister of Australia, Julia Gillard and the Director General of World Trade Organization (WTO) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala among others are expected to grace the occasion.
WIMBIZ has since inception collaborated with credible domestic, international and global organizations to deliver programmes, which have influenced over 216,000 women.
